I was invited to join a public protest in downtown Plymouth Massachusetts titled ‘Under the Rock’. I brought with me my exact-scaled replica of the Plymouth Rock that I mounted on wheels so it could remove itself from its architectural artifice and encounter citizens today. By decontextualizing the rock from its monumental canopy, we can begin to deconstruct the power this stone holds over our identities today.
In the images here you can see me walking the rock through the streets of Plymouth. I also created this flyer that brings the timescale of nuclear waste into the measurement of time in the construct of this country today.
